Why Choose Modal?

Modal features similar properties to other cellulose fibres such as cotton with its breathability and absorbency, while model is around 50% more water-absorbent per unit volume than cotton. This fibre feels silky-smooth against the skin for luxurious comfort all-day and all-night.

Its great resistance to shrinkage and pilling make it a popular choice to use in textiles on its own or in a fabric blend. The manufacturing process involves spinning reconstituted cellulose from beech trees. The wood fibres are pulped into liquid form and then forced through tiny holes, creating the fibre. This is then woven together or incorporated with other fibres to make the fabric.
