Advice for Road Runners: The Altra Women's Experience Form are stability running shoes. The Experience Flow running shoes are their neutral counterpart.

Underfoot Feel

The Altra Experience Form cushioning should feel light and responsive underfoot - making them suited to steadier paced runs. The 4 mm drop midsole also features a prominent heel to toe rocker. This aids propulsion and speeds up the transition from landing to take-off.

Extra support is delivered via Altra's GuideRail technology. The raised midsole walls and supportive medial section (visible in the second image) help guide your feet and ankles.

The extra-wide based midsole is also inherently stable.

Upper Fit

The toe box of the Altra Experience Form is designed to fit the natural shape of your feet. To explain further, the Standard FootShape™ fit offers more space than many traditional running shoe uppers. This helps to let your toes splay, which can improve comfort.

The upper should also feel exceptionally light and breathable.

Ideal Run Type

We suggest choosing the Altra Experience Form Running Shoes for your steadier paced runs. This is when responsive foams are likely to feel most comfortable - as they can help you maintain your pace with greater ease.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
